Indo-Aryan ucca [1634]

1634 ucca 'tall, lofty' Mn.; uccā́, uccáiḥ 'above' RV., uccakáiḥ Pañcat. — Forms in mod. lggs. with a nasal poss. from or influenced by údañc- 'turned upwards, upper' RV., but apparent absence of such forms in MIA. (except Pk. udaṁcida- 'raised high', see údañcati) makes this very doubtful.
